o The city of Puebla is a good example of this. It has many streets with cardinal directions as part of the official street name; for example, Calle 11 Nte., Av. 18 Pte., etc.
1.2.2 Rural localities, pueblos, rancherías, ejidos, etc.
Rural localities such as small towns within a larger municipality require the municipality as part of the address. If the municipality is missing, it is considered a Locality Issue in the rating interface.

• To find out what municipality a rural locality belongs to, use Sepomex to search for the address details. To do so, search for the state from the dropdown menu and input the locality where it says Asentamiento, this should show you what municipality a certain rural locality may belong to.
1.3 Address Diacritics
Due to lack of consensus among the national postal service, street imagery and official resources in this market, when rating the address components, missing or incorrect accent marks (á, é, í, ó, ú), do not merit an Address rating of Incorrect. (See Search Guidelines 7.1.3-7.1.4). The table below helps put these inconsistencies into perspective.

Expected address components may differ by mode, type of result, or whether the result is located in Mexico City or not. Below are some examples that help put this into perspective. It is important to note that many official websites in Mexico do not include all of the mandatory components necessary per the table(s) above or may display a different format than what is expected but the components in the tables above are mandatory nonetheless.
Search requires more address components for most results compared to AC For example, a Business/POI result in Search requires up to 7 components as opposed to only 3 in AC. The examples below help clarify how to rate address accuracy for different types of results.

Unlike Search, Autocomplete requires less address components for most results. I.e. the only mandatory address components for POIs in and out of Mexico City are [Street Name][Street Number][Sub-locality]. This is important because the locality is shown for most results instead of the sub-locality which means that most Business/POl results will have an Address Accuracy^[Country specific issue]. Even though S/N (sin número) means “no number”, if an official website includes S/N as part of the address it should be treated as a Street Number. Results missing all of the mandatory components such as this one are fairly common so look out for them. | |||

Result shows what an address for a POI should look like. Only Street Number, Street Name, Sub-locality, and unit number are necessary for the purposes of this task. Keep in mind that a missing or incorrect sub-locality is a Country Specific Issue in the rating interface not a Locality Issue and there is no need to demote for anything else. | |||
When rating POI/Business names, rely on the official source to verify correct diacritics and rate according to Search Guidelines 6.3 as a minor or moderate misspelling. If an official business name includes a diacritic but our result does not, it will merit a demotion. When the business name on the storefront does not include the corporate status (S.A de C.V.) the result should be rated Partially Correct. Another common issue regarding Name Accuracy in the es_MX market is that gas stations tend to return the corporate name rather than what is visible on street level. I.e. “Gasolinera Dakota SA DE CV” instead of PEMEX. This is technically not incorrect but could cause a bad user experience since these names are rarely visible.

Some of the examples show the Navigational result with no issues but the section as a whole is intended to give overview of the most common issues.
