U-turns are illegal in Argentina, unless expressly permitted by road signage or markings, traffic signals, or in dedicated U-turn lanes with physical borders. Some provinces and large metro areas outlaw Uturns outright. If there is not enough evidence to confirm with absolute certainty that a U-turn is expressly permitted, this maneuver will be rated as an MNE.
By law, left turns are prohibited at intersections controlled by traffic signals on two-way streets. In practice, left turns should not be performed at intersections where the volume and flow of traffic would make such a maneuver unsafe.
