Step 1	Understand the query
	Query for a chain business with user outside FVP. According to the Guidelines-2.3.2. Implicit Location, “Viewport is Fresh and user is outside the viewport, results are expected in or near the viewport area.”
Step 2	Research against the real world
	Search on the official website. (https://www.freshhema.com/) The official website lists the store information without map location. Search Map Apps to evaluate the distance. Baidu map shows that two stores are closer to FVP than the task: ②盒马鲜生(水湾店) and ①盒马鲜生 (香悦里店), the latter is not returned in Tryrating. The existence of these two stores is confirmed by the official website.
Step 3	Rate the relevance
	According to Guidelines-Section 5.4. Distance, “Results which are farther away are less relevant and should be demoted according to their additional distance” There are two closer results, so the result “盒马鲜生(南山信和广场店)” should be demoted to Good for distance issue.

Task 2: [GL 10.7.1. Category Query with Location Modifier]

Result Name: 昆山南站

Relevance: Excellent

Step 1	Understand the query
	According to the Guidelines-10.7.2. Navigational Results for Category Queries, “Sometimes it’s not clear whether a query is for a category or a specific business/POI. …even if there is a Navigational result, the query should still be treated as a potential category query and other results considered relevant.” For this result, the query would be interpreted as a category query with general location modifier. According to Guidelilnes-2.3.1. Explicit Location, “When there is an explicit location mentioned in the query, you can ignore the user and viewport locations.”
Step 2	Research the official website
	Official website: https://bit.ly/304mTsf Research reveals that Kunshan South Railway Station(昆山南站) locates within the boundary of the Suzhou city.
Step 3	Rate the Relevance
	According to Guidelines-Section 10.7.1. Category Query with Location Modifier, “ If the query contains a location modifier, all results within the specified location should receive the highest possible initial rating of Excellent.” This result is located within the queried city, so relevance is Excellent.

Task 3: [GL1.3.3 Result Relevance Rating]

Step 1	Understand the query
	Category query with user outside the fresh viewport. According to the Guidelines-2.3.2. Implicit Location, “Viewport is Fresh and user is outside the viewport, results are expected in or near the viewport area.”
Step 2	Research against the real world
	Research reveals that there are ideal results within the FVP matching the category query. Baidu map shows that the hospital of “南宁市红十字会医院” located inside FVP, which is not returned in Tryrating. This POI is confirmed by the official website (http://www.nnhhyy.cn/).
Step 3	Rate the relevance
	According to Guidelines-Section 1.3.3. Result Relevance Rating, “Always rate against the real world: If there is a better result available but it is not shown, demote the existing result(s) while considering the missing one(s)”， and Section 5.4. Distance, “Fresh viewport, User outside, …All ratings should be based on the fresh viewport location…” The missing results inside FVP merit an Excellent rating, and the POI “瑞康医院” outside the FVP should be demoted to Good for distance issue.

Task 4: [GL 5.18. Relevance: Service-Level Mismatch]

Step 1	Understand the query

Step 2	Undestand the sevice level
	There are four different types of Apple shops on the official website. 1) Apple Flagship stores/Apple Store零售店 2) Authorized Retailer stores/Apple授权经销商 3) Service & Repair stores/Apple授权服务提供商 4) Training Center/培训中心 The Flagship stores can be identified on the official website by “Apple Store” tags. Or from the main entrance: https://www.apple.com.cn/retail/
Step 3	Research on the official website
	From the official website, the closest flagship store is “Apple 南京金茂汇”，which is a bit farther away from FVP. (https://apple.co/2X7ddv8) This result is the closest one to FVP, but it is an authorized Retailer store, and its service level does not match the queried one.
Step 4	Rate the Relevance
