Use this rating if the TryRating result is a residential address (the rating should not be applied to POI and Business results!) and there is strong evidence the address does not actually exist. If sufficient resources are not available to make an informed decision, mark it Can’t Verify instead.
How to check if an address exists:
Geoportal.de is considred an official source and should be the primary source for verifying Data Acuracy in Germany:
Search for the given street in the result address and the map will tell you if it exists, and if the house number in the result address exists. Don’t rely on other sources to verify addresses – in particular don’t use search engines like Bing or Google!
If we find that the address does not exist, you will find one of the following scenarios with the appropriate rating.
V Checkpoint: In some cases, you will find that an existing address can be found in a different locality. Always mark such cases as Incorrect – Address does not exist and not Incorrect – Locality.
