POI at Address – Important Tips

In POI at Address, you will be given an address and you have to determine whether or not any POI is located at the given address. Research the given address through multiple search engines. If you can find evidence that any POI exists at the given address, rate “Yes”.
Additional information, such as POI name and/or URL hints is not rated and should not
affect your rating choice! Even if the POI Name/URL hints point at a POI that is now closed, we still rate “Yes” as long as any (other) POI exists at the given address!

List of tips and common mistakes to avoid:

• Don’t solely rely on official websites, but use official social media sites as well!
• Don’t use unofficial sources to confirm the existence of a POI
• Don’t ever rely on Google Maps/Bing Maps – this is not an official source and can’t help you determining if there is a POI at the given address!
• Official Resources to utilize: Updated Official Websites, Updated Social Media Pages, and Current Street Imagery.
• Know the difference between physical address and mailing address. If the given address is the mailing address only, it should be rated as “No”

Helpful rating flow:

• Is this a real-world address?
• When I typed this address on search engines is there a POI that is associated with this address POI?
If there is a POI returned, review websites and notice copy right. If no updated official website, then check open claimed social media pages, with recent updates.
• Is this a mailing address, and not a physical address? Mailing addresses are not considered valid.
• Can’t Verify: Only select this if you have International restriction to the website you are requesting for research
