Use this rating if the TryRating result is a residential address (the rating should not be applied to POI
addresses) and there is no evidence found that the address given actually exists. If sufficient resources are not available to make an informed decision, mark it Can’t Verify instead. If we find that the address does not exist, you will find one of the following scenarios with the appropriate rating.

  • Response 1: TryRating will return the closest verified address. Rate relevance as Excellent.
  • Response 2: TryRating will return the same address specified in the query. Rate relevance as Excellent
and address as Incorrect – Address does not exist. The pin will be rated Can’t Verify.
  • Response 3: TryRating will return the street without street number, which should be given a relevance rating of Acceptable.

Checkpoint: Once we determine that we have a result where the address does not exist, we want to make
sure we check to see if the result falls under one of the above Responses

Relevance: Excellent
Name Accuracy: N/a
Address Accuracy: Incorrect – Address does not exist.
Pin Accuracy: Can’t Verify
Upon researching the address, we find that the official
USPS website does not recognize the address. In addition,
when we research this address in different Map
Applications, we find that there is no property or building associated with this address. We would want to use our check point and designate the appropriate ratings.
