Name Accuracy Rating

When rating the Accuracy of a Result Name, first determine if the Name in the result is correct or incorrect.
Once you have determined the correctness of the Name, see the Classification.
Not every result will include a Classification – if the Classification is N/A or missing, make your final Accuracy rating based on the Name Accuracy alone.
Some classifications may seem too specific or too general – as long as the classification is not misleading, consider it Correct.
The Classification is considered Incorrect if it is misleading, wrong, misspelled, incomplete or in an unexpected language.
Remember that if the Name is Incorrect, the final rating will be Incorrect, even if the Classification is Correct.
If the Classification is Incorrect but the Name is Correct, the final rating will also be Incorrect.

Correct Name and Correct Classification:

Estaҫão Rodoviária de Porto Alegre – Estaҫão Rodoviária

Both Name and Category
are Correct. So, the

Name Accuracy for this

result is rated Correct.

Correct Name and Incorrect Classification:

Estaҫão Rodoviária de Porto Alegre – Ponto de Ônibus

Name Accuracy is rated
Incorrect, because this

result is for a transit

station and NOT a bus

stop. The Category is

Incorrect and therefore

the Name Accuracy is

rated Incorrect
.

Missing Diacritic Name and Correct Classification:
Estaҫão Rodoviaria de Porto Alegre – Estaҫão Rodoviária

The Name is missing the
diacritic “a” in

Rodoviaria. The
Classification is Correct.

But, because the Name is
missing the diacritic, this

Name Accuracy is rated

Partially Correct.

Address Accuracy Rating

Diacritics

According to the Country Specific Guidelines:

Diacritics are part of the Portuguese Language and should be considered a misspelling if incorrect/missing. Address should be rated as [Incorrect – component affected] if the diacritics is amiss.

Examples: Sao Paulo, Rua São Cristovão, Bairro Vilas Bôas.

These are all Incorrect for Address Accuracy.

The correct spelling is São Paulo, Rua São Cristóvão, Bairro Vilas Boas.

If the Address in the result is missing Diacritics,

rate it Incorrect.

Language/Script Issues with Address

According to the Search 2.0 Guidelines:

The Address details must be in a language and script that matches the test language, the user query or the result region.

Use the Address Accuracy Incorrect – Language/Script Issue checkbox if you find issues of this nature in any of the address components in the address details of any result.

For example:

Address Result:

Confeitaria Nova Tall

Rua Primeiro de Marҫo, 18, Centro

Rio de Janeiro – RJ

Brazil

This Address Accuracy is rated Incorrect for
Language/Script Issue. The name of the

Country, Brazil, is spelled in English and not
in Portuguese,
which is the language of the
test, the
query and the region. If Brazil were
spelled
Brasil, with s, this would have been rated Correct.

Implicit Location Intent – Based on Viewport Age and User

When there is an explicit location mentioned in the query, you can ignore the User and the Viewport locations. The User has already told you exactly where they want to find results. If the query contains words like “near me” or “nearby”, the User’s location, not the Viewport

location, should be considered the explicit location intent.

When the query does not mention an explicit location, please follow these User and Viewport rules to determine the location intent.

If the Viewport is Fresh and the User is inside the Fresh Viewport

the User location is the intent

If the Viewport is Fresh and the User is outside the Fresh Viewport

the Viewport location is the intent

If the Viewport is Stale – and the User is either inside or outside the Stale Viewport

only the User location is the intent
