Result relevance is Excellent, not Navigational

.

To achieve a relevance rating of Navigational a result must be the most likely result implied by the user’s query, location, and/or viewport that completely satisfies the user’s distinct intent. A result that is not unique and not near the user or viewport would be rated at most, Excellent.

Please see Maps Search Guidelines section 1.3.3. Result Relevance Rating and the official government address resource https://danmarksadresser.dk/

Example 1 Valby (Query) Valby 2500 (Result)  Result is not unique or near user or

viewport Relevance Rating: Excellent

Relevance

Result relevance is Excellent, not Navigational (example)

Example: Valby
Research shows several places called Valby in Denmark, including a settlement in Jutland in Brønderslev, a sub-locality in 3200 Helsinge and a locality, Valby 2500. Neither the viewport or user are near to any of these results and there is no indication in the search term which Valby is intended. The returned result, Valby 2500, is not unique, nor near to the user or viewport and can only therefore achieve a relevancy rating of Excellent. See: Maps Search Guidelines section

Transit queries

A transit query result that does not meet Navigational relevancy rating can still partially satisfy user intent. Other results that could partially satisfy the user intent should be demoted further for distance and prominence. In general, the fewer the results that satisfy the user intent, the farther away the results can be and still be considered relevant. The more available results that can satisfy user intent, the closer they need ,

to be.

Please see Maps Search Guidelines section 5.16.1. Transit Queries

Example 1 Esbjerg Station (Query) Varde Station (Result) Relevancy rating: Good

Address

Transit queries (example)

.

Example: Vejle station
Research shows that there are two train stations in Vejle. The result, Give Station is in a different locality with one other station (Jelling) closer to Vejle. Even though the station is outside of the requested locality, it provides a choice of stations in the area for the user. The Relevancy is demoted due to distance to Acceptable. See Maps Search Guidelines section 5.16.1. Transit Queries – [stockport station] example)

Partially correct

A partially correct name differs from official versions but can still be recognised by the user. Partially correct names can include minor and moderate misspellings, service level mismatches and missing and unnecessary name parts.

name contains repeated, redundant, or missing information or parts
incorrect or missing punctuation or special characters
unnecessary or missing spaces
unexpected use of lower/upper case and ALL CAPS letters
acronyms are often expected in ALL CAPS: YMCA, TGIF
minor and moderate misspellings that don’t influence the user’s understanding.
mix of expected languages in the result title.

Remember: If a name is deemed Partially Correct AND the classification is Incorrect then the final Name

Accuracy will always be Incorrect. See: Maps Search Guidelines section 6.2.2. Partially Correct Name

Partially correct (example)

Example: Princesse Slottet

Research shows that there is a business of this name in Randers. The result, Princesse Slotten returns the same address shown on the official business website https://prinsesse-slottet.dk/. Further research

shows that the name has a minor mispelling and should be Princesse Slottet. The classification is correct and the minor mispelling in the name does not prevent the user from identifying the business. Therefore,

the final Name Accuracy rating is Partially Correct. See: Maps Search Guidelines section 6.2.2. Partially Correct Name

Incorrect name

A final Name Accuracy rating of Incorrect is given when there is a minor error with a result name (refer to previous £

slide) together with an incorrect classification OR from an incorrect classification alone OR from a result name that is so changed as to be unrecogniseable to the user. See: Maps Search Guidelines section 6.2.3. Incorrect Name

Consider a result name incorrect when:

severe misspellings that prevent the user from identifying the business because of:

change in meaning

misspelling that results in an entirely different word or gibberish

holding names that are completely different than the recognised name

unnecessary or missing parts in the name that prevent the user from recognizing the business

slang and inappropriate language

using the previous name of the same entity that is not a variation of the current name and therefore cannot be identified

.

Incorrect name

Consider a classification incorrect when it is:

.

wrong

misspelled

in an unexpected language/script

misleading

.incomplete (missing parts or has uncommon/odd abbreviations

Incorrect name (example)

Example: Rema 1000 Fåborg
Research on the official business website shows a branch of this supermarket chain in Fåborg and which matches the result information https://rema1000.dk/stores/713 . The name in the result is not in capitals, but on the website and street signage the name is always capitalised. The classification of supermarked is correct. Referring to the summary table in the Search Guidelines section 6.3.2. Incorrect Classification and 6.7. Final Name Accuracy Rating table gives a final Name Accuracy rating of Partially Correct

.Address is missing sub-locality

If the query is for an address that according to official sources contains a sub-locality, then the result must return the sub-locality as part of the address to be considered Correct. This is regardless of whether the sub-locality is included in the query or not.

Please see Country Specific Guidelines section 2.3. Sub-localities in Denmark

and the official government’s official address resource https://danmarksadresser.dk/

Address is missing sub-locality (example)

.

Example: Nørgårdsvej 7 Ulfborg
Research shows that Nørgårdsvej 7 Ulfborg is located in the sub-locality of Staby. The result returns this sub-locality as part of the address and according to the Country Specific Guidelines should be rated Correct. https://danmarksadresser.dk/

Address

Incorrect postal code

If the query is for a business or POI the address in the result must return the correct postal code to be considered Correct.

Please see Maps Search Guildelines section 7.1.6. Postal Code

and the official government address resource https://danmarksadresser.dk/

Address

Incorrect postal code (Example)

.

Example: Silvan Vanløse

Research shows that the branch of Silvan in Vanløse has the address Slotsherrensvej 123, 2720 Vanløse.

The result data returns the correct postal code as part of the address, and according to Maps Search

Guildelines section 7.1.6. Postal Code should be rated Correct. https://www.silvan.dk/butikker/vanloese

.Approximate rating on single rooftop

Where a result is located in a one building with single street number and with other businesses also located under the rooftop, a pin on a part of the rooftop not over the result will achieve a Pin Accuracy rating of Approximate. See: Map Search Guidelines section 9.2.Single Rooftop [One building with single street number and multiple businesses under the rooftop] Example Type) .

This rating can only be given when the location of the result within the building can be confirmed

through research.

Approximate rating on single rooftop (example)

Example: Kirkens Korshær Sædding
Research shows a branch of this charity in Sædding, and the result address matches that on the official website https://kirkenskorshaer.dk/afdeling/kirkens-korshaer-genbrug-esbjergv The official government address resource https://danmarksadresser.dk/ shows a large building at this address and the pin falls on the rooftop in satellite view in Tryrating.

.

Approximate rating on single rooftop (example) continued

It could be assumed that the pin is perfect as it lands on the street number in the address. However, this MUST be checked if possible, using street imagery for evidence of the location. Examining available street imagery shows several businesses located under this rooftop, including a driving school and a bingo hall. The pin is on the rooftop of the driving school, not the result charity shop. With this evidence the Pin Accuracy rating is Approximate. See: Map Search Guidelines section 9.2.Single Rooftop [One building with single street number and multiple businesses under the rooftop] Example Type) .

Pin on next door

When a pin drops on the immediate property next door to the intended one it should receive a Pin Accuracy rating of Next Door.

A Next Door pin must be:

on the same street as the intended property (must share the same street name)
on the same side of the street as the intended property
the first property on any side of the intended property
on the same block as the intended property

See: Map Search Guidelines section 9.1.4. Next Door. It is important to conduct research to establish

the ground truth. The official government address resource https://danmarksadresser.dk/ and available .  \

street imagery should be consulted.

Pin on next door (example)

Example: Nyvej 4A 4330 Hvalsø
Research using the official government address resource https://danmarksadresser.dk/ shows that this address exists and is identical to the result address. However, the pin appears to fall on a different street number 4B. Satellite imagery on the official government address ressource and street imagery show that the pin is falling on 4B which is the immediate property next door to the intended

one and which meets all the criteria for the Pin Guidelines section 9.1.4. Next Door.
