Research is one of the most important steps while rating Search 2.0 Tasks, as not only helps to understand the user’s query and intent but also allows to verify the data accuracy of name, address, and pin location. In order to start research, it is essential to understand the following definitions:
•Official Resources: Websites claimed or owned by the Business/POI. Usually, these sources are updated continuously.
•Reliable Resources: Websites where a third-party provides information gathered from official sources and where people can provide their opinions about the service/product.
•Unreliable Resources: Website that collects information from different sites and that is usually untrustworthy as it is not obtained from official webpages of the business/POI.
As stated in section 2.1.1 of the general guidelines, we should always use official resources like official websites, national postal services websites, and government websites whenever possible. Unreliable sources should not be considered at all and should always be avoid. If you are unable to find information that gives the certainty that the data is correct or incorrect, please rate ‘Can’t Verify’.

Names can be listed in a variety of ways in different sections of the entity’s official website or official social media page, to confirm the accuracy you may use:
•About/About Us section on an entity’s official website
•Signs and storefronts seen on official sites or social media pages
•Name used in the claimed social media page
•Official restaurant menus (user photos or scanned images posted on social claimed sites)
If the result business has no website or the result name is different to the name displayed on the website, you can also check:
•Street Imagery (e.g. Street view or Image Search) for signs and storefronts; make sure these are recent views.
•Additional reliable crowdsourced review pages: Yelp, TripAdvisor, Booking, etc.
•Recent articles from newspapers or similar publications
Helpful resources to research Address Accuracy:
•Official website and claimed social media pages; these sources are always the first step and should be prioritized over any online presence of the business in search engines.
•If the result is a chain business, use the locator page the official website. You may also review Pickup stores in case the locator page is missing or has any technical issue.
•Search Engine Research: Use it to make a consensus upon reliable sources. These include Yelp results, TripAdvisor, Expedia, Booking, Airbnb, SIEM.gob.mx, CAPUFE, etc.
•Use government owned sites from different institutions (INEGI) and municipalities sites. As an example, CDMX metro station has an official website http://www.metro.cdmx.gob.mxthat helps review address as well as the pin location.
•In case, you are unable to confirm the correct sub-locality as there is a possibility that the postal code belongs to several sub-localities. You may use street imagery if you find an official street name sign at the corner of the streets.
