Common Mistakes in Query Address Validity
A Valid query address is:
A query address that does not meet any of these is considered Invalid.
A full comprehensive list of Valid and Invalid query address examples can be found in Guidelines Sections 3.3 and 3.4.
Example 1: Query Address: Banga Plaza JP Rizal Street Calamba City Laguna
Coordinates : [14.214337, 121.167559]
Query Address: Invalid
Rated Invalid because it refers to a public plaza/park. Based on the GL 3.2. General Considerations, we do not consider POI-like plaza as an address component. The remaining address [JP Rizal Street Calamba City Laguna] does not point to a single unique location, thus, the address is Invalid. At first glance, the query address is a public plaza, deletion of the AOI/POI Banga Plaza will result in partial street address only. Thus, rating of Not Reasonable Address is applied. Please refer to the similar cases ‘Bowling Green University’ and ‘Aziz Mall’ under 3.4. Examples of Invalid Query Addresses.
Tips: Parks and plazas are interchangeable terms in the Philippines that mainly refers to any open spaces that are publicly accessible.
Example 2: 996 Espiritu Street Poblacion, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila
Query Address: Invalid
All expected address components are present, but research shows that street number 996 does not exist. The street number format in Espiritu Street follows a “Block and Lot” numbering (please see the below street imageries). Always double-check with the street imagery to validate the street number.

Example 3: P. De Guzman Street and Ydia Street Poblacion, Mangaldan Pangasinan

Coordinates for P. De Guzman Street: [16.066401, 120.401838]
Coordinates for Ydia Street Poblacion, Mangaldan Pangasinan: [16.066880, 120.402707]
Query Address: Invalid
Both street names exist in the real world, but streets spread over multiple blocks and do not point to a single unique location. The given address is not on one side of the street that is equal to or smaller than a block, thus it is Not Reasonable. Also, there is no intersection between the two streets. If the query address contains two street names, find out if there is an intersection between the two streets. When it is an intersection and the area is smaller than a block, then the query address is rated Reasonable. Review GL. 4. Is This a Reasonable Address? [Valencia St & Cunningham Pl, San Francisco, CA] example.
Common Mistakes in Address Accuracy
You will rate the response addresses for all query addresses you rated Valid and Invalid but Reasonable. To evaluate the quality of a response address, you must compare it to the Valid
query address.
Note: While in Maps Search result addresses are rated independently, in Address Verification, you must rate response addresses in relation to the query address.
Query: 284 Recto Ave, Metro Manila, Philippines
Response Address: 284 Recto Ave, Binondo, Metro Manila, Philippines
Address Accuracy: Incorrect -Sub- Locality
Research shows that the query address exists in the real world as it belongs to a restaurant called Ogies Lami, thus it is rated Valid. The query address does not state a sub- locality, but the response address does. According to the (https://www.facebook.com/OgiesLamiPH/), the sublocality is San Nicolas. Recto Avenue stretches out in San Nicolas and Binondo, however street number 284 of Recto Avenue belongs to San Nicolas district thus rated Incorrect- Sub-Locality.
Common Mistakes in Pin Accuracy
Query: 1515 Paz St. Paco Manila 1007
Response Address: 1510 Paz St, Paco, Manila, 1007 Metro Manila, Philippines
Pin Coordinates: 14.579982333298977, 120.99523483354416

Pin Accuracy is Wrong. Research shows that the pin falls perfectly on the provided result address: 1510 Paz St. However, the location of the pin should always reflect the query address, not the response address. This differs from the Maps Search task, where the pin is related to the result address. The query address belongs to Ever Supermarket (https://ever.ph/pages/branches) with the perfect coordinates at (14.579969, 120.994851)
Always include a comment explaining the reason for your ratings along with which Guidelines principles the address meets or violates. Please provide any links that you used as evidence.
