Name Accuracy Rating

When rating the Accuracy of a Result Name, first determine if the Name in the result is correct or incorrect.
Once you have determined the correctness of the Name, see the Classification.
Not every result will include a Classification – if the Classification is N/A or missing, make your final Accuracy rating based on the Name Accuracy alone.
Some classifications may seem too specific or too general – as long as the classification is not misleading, consider it Correct.
The Classification is considered Incorrect if it is misleading, wrong, misspelled, incomplete or in an unexpected language.
Remember that if the Name is Incorrect, the final rating will be Incorrect, even if the Classification is Correct.
If the Classification is Incorrect but the Name is Correct, the final rating will also be Incorrect.

Relevance Accuracy Rating:

Implicit Location Intent – Based on Viewport Age and User

When there is an explicit location mentioned in the query, you can ignore the User and the Viewport locations. The User has already told you exactly where they want to find results. If the query contains words like “near me” or “nearby”, the User’s location, not the Viewport location, should be considered the explicit location intent.

When the query does not mention an explicit location, please follow these User and Viewport rules to determine the location intent.

If the Viewport is Fresh and the User is inside the Fresh Viewport

the User location is the intent

If the Viewport is Fresh and the User is outside the Fresh Viewport

the Viewport location is the intent

If the Viewport is Stale – and the User is either inside or outside the Stale Viewport

only the User location is the intent
